Natura Rota
En el marco de un proyecto en el que participaba, tuve la oportunidad de encontrarme y entrevistar un grupo de mujeres sobrevivientes de violencia de género. Durante varios días concurrí a refugios en las afueras de Buenos Aires a escuchar sus relatos.
De esas conversaciones —íntimas, devastadoras— emergieron testimonios con detalles que el lenguaje apenas puede sostener. Experiencias de una violencia extrema que, sin embargo, no encontraron respuesta en la justicia: ninguno de los agresores enfrenta hoy una condena. Los procesos judiciales permanecen abiertos o estancados.
La impunidad es la regla.
Son ellas quienes cargan con la condena. En la oscuridad del olvido y el anonimato, deben sostener sus tragedias.
Natura Rota nace de ese horror. Es una serie fotográfica que se desprende de esos relatos de cuerpos fragmentados, la soledad pero sobre todo de la fortaleza y del esfuerzo por reconstruirse. Mujeres que encontraron el coraje de buscarse a sí mismas y, desde allí, intentar rehacerse.
Broken Natura
Within the framework of a project I was part of, I had the opportunity to meet and interview a group of women survivors of gender violence. Over several days, I visited shelters on the outskirts of Buenos Aires to listen to their stories.
From those conversations —intimate, devastating— emerged testimonies with details that language can barely hold. Experiences of extreme violence that, however, found no answer in the justice system: not one of the perpetrators faces a conviction today. Legal proceedings remain open or stalled.
Impunity is the rule.
They are the ones condemned. In the darkness of oblivion and anonymity, they must bear their tragedias alone.
Natura Rota is born from that horror. It is a photographic series that stems from those accounts of fragmented bodies, but above all from the solitude, the strength, and the effort to rebuild. Women who found the courage to search for themselves and, from there, attempt to remake who they are.
